The successful execution of this project was no accident. It was a deliberate effort to elevate the coastal experience for tourists and locals alike. The first phase involved importing 3.5 tons of Jordanian sand, expanding the beach, and creating more space for sun-seekers to bask in the Mediterranean warmth. The results were astonishing and immediate. This transformation was pivotal in securing a 'Blue Flag' status for the bay, a first for Malta.
Expanding Horizons
Phase two of the project continued the journey of embellishing the bay and included the design and construction of a new promenade. The addition of a larger culvert, seamlessly joined with the existing one, further enhanced the bay's infrastructure.
As we look back at this endeavor, it exemplifies our dedication to sustainable development and our ability to create places of both natural beauty and practical utility. The 'Blue Flag' status and the ongoing enjoyment of the bay by locals and tourists serve as enduring reminders of our impact on our island.
