The project involves the transformation of a disused historical building into a Ministry facility with innovative additions and restoration works.
Project Overview
With a site spanning over 6,500 square metres, with 2,300 square metres of built-up area, 1,255 square metres of soft landscaped space, and 2,945 square metres allocated for roads and parking. The existing building, with ground and one above-ground floor, will see significant extensions on the ground and first floors, resulting in a total floor area of 2,850 square metres. The development is designed to accommodate 35 employees and offers various spaces, including offices, reception areas, meeting rooms, a multipurpose hall, an industrial kitchen, and a courtyard with a garden.
Outdoor Environment
Outdoor spaces comprise about 19% of the total site area, with hard and soft landscaping. The historic building's façade will be restored, and existing metal parapets will be replaced with glass railings. Windows will be upgraded to timber-framed double-glazed units. The extensions harmoniously complement the historical structure and feature triple glazing frit glass to reduce solar heat gain.
