At MED Design, we've always believed in the power of diversity and inclusion, recognising that the best solutions emerge when we embrace a variety of perspectives. Our esteemed team member, Yasemin Aktas, a Civil Engineer and Quantity Surveyor, recently participated in an inspiring event hosted by the Malta Chamber of Construction Management (MCCM). This event, held in collaboration with the Ministry for Public Works and Planning, the Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry, and the Chartered Institute of Building, was a groundbreaking step for the local construction industry.

Titled "From Inception to Hand Over," the event highlighted the pivotal role women play at various stages of the construction industry. Various speakers shared valuable insights from diverse aspects of the industry. These perspectives encompassed development, entrepreneurship, technical expertise, politics, environmental concerns, management, and education.

The event's attendees represented a diverse spectrum of backgrounds and experiences. Challenges, both past and present, were openly discussed, fostering an atmosphere of collaboration and support.

The event succeeded in bringing together a multitude of stakeholders and their representatives under one roof. It also achieved something more profound, encouraging women to explore further opportunities within the construction sector.
